Melbourne jewellery designer Shonah Tomkins is the artist behind the label ‘Shonah Jewellery Design’. Shonah’s handmade pendants have gained notoriety over the past 4 years for their modern antique style. Each handmade necklace is created by Shonah and is inspired by love of geometrical patterns, warm earthy palettes, antiques, flora and fauna.

Shonah's signature Tasmanian oak handmade pendants, blend her original screen-prints, locally designed textiles, Baroque and William Morris reproduction fabrics. Shonah’s father crafts the wood in a beautiful country setting. Shonah’s quirky shaped designer necklaces from her ‘In the Woods’ and ‘Antique’ range are also handmade in Melbourne and are a favourite boutique item. Each designer necklace has a ‘one-off variation in pattern’ combining resin, fabric, oak and distinctive vintage style chain. Shonah’s Resin and Fabric handmade pendants have been described as asthetically beautiful, unique, timeless and eclectic.

Shonah’s most recent handmade pendants from her ‘modern antique collection’ blend mixed metals and 1600’s to 1800’s motifs with her distinctive signature of using Tasmanian Oak, Fabric and Resin. Each designer necklace is inspired by her memories of monuments in London and Paris and by her musical background as a singer/songwriter.
